Help Us by Sponsoring a Rescue Malamute!The WAMAL Sponsorship program is a community of compassionate supporters whose donations help provide the necessary financial support to care for a rescued Malamute. Sponsorships may be monthly gifts of $25, $50 or more to help fund the daily needs of one of our rescued Mals. WAMAL incurs costs involved with housing, food, supplements, immunizations, medication, spay/neutering and vet visits. Our "average" cost per pup per month runs close to $400!! With many of our fantastic pups available for Sponsorship, you’ll be sure to find one whose WOOO captures your heart. Give the gift of compassion that helps a rescued mal to live his or her life in peace, comfort and safety while they await their furever home. As a Sponsor, you’ll receive a digital certificate (and an optional printed certificate, if requested) featuring your Sponsored Malamute. Your donation also includes a quarterly pupdate with news and photos of your special Mal. You may also choose to gift in the name of a friend or family member, and we’ll happily provide them with the certificate and pupdates! Your donations are TAX DEDUCTIBLE ! Sponsorship FAQWhat is a Sponsorship? Sponsorships is an ongoing commitment with either a monthly or a lump sum annual payment. Sponsorships are gifts of $25, $50 or more given monthly to help fund the daily needs of one our rescued Mals. You can Sponsor in your own name, or as a gift for someone else. You may also choose to give a lump sum quarterly or annually. Do I have to give a certain amount? No, you can choose any amount that works for you! Following are some suggestions: INDEPENDENT BY NATURE (any amount you choose!) WET KISSES $25 FIBERS OF LOVE $50 BELLY RUBS $75 ZOOMIES $100 CUDDLE BUG $200 HOWLING SIRENS $250+ How do I discontinue my Sponsorship? You can discontinue your Sponsorship donation at any time by emailing us at sponsorship@wamal.com. There is no contractual obligation. What does my Sponsorship go toward? Sponsorship gifts help pay for feeding, housing, supplements, vet care, chipping, immunizations and any needed surgeries. In order to make sure that your gift has the greatest impact, it may be used to support not only the individual care of your Sponsored Mal, but shared with another Mal, if the need arises. WAMAL is a 100% volunteer run non-profit organization, so rest assured that your donation goes directly to the care of our pups! What happens if my Mal is adopted? Yay! Once your Sponsored Mal gets adopted, we will notify you! You may choose to transfer your sponsorship to a different Mal or end it. Can I sponsor for less than 12 months? We ask for a minimum of a 12-month commitment. A lot of work and effort goes into our Sponsorship program, and it is not feasible to offer shorter terms. However, if you would like to make a onetime donation, we would still be happy to send you the digital certificate and a quarterly pupdate. Can I pay for a 12-month sponsorship in one payment? Of course. Please contact us at sponsorship@wamal.com. Does my Mal friend have more than one sponsor? Since it is often too costly for one person’s donation to fund the entire cost of care for some of our more elderly or special needs Mals, we welcome the additional help of multiple generous sponsors like you. As a sponsor, your contribution not only provides for your Sponsored friend, but it also goes into a general fund that works to help all our pups in rescue. Does my gift go to pay for salaries or overhead costs? No. WAMAL is a 100% volunteer run 501(c)(3) non-profit with no paid staff. Our ‘offices’ are the kennels where we interact with and care for our pups! What if I can't afford to make an annual commitment ? One-time donations are always welcome and appreciated in any amount! Click the DONATE NOW button in the right side bar! How do I make my Sponsorship donation? We ask that you sign up for an automatic payment program by clicking the "Sponsor Me" button on the dog that you would like to sponsor's sponsorship profile (links below) or "Sponsor Now" in the right column. Your Sponsorship donations can come directly out of your checking or savings account or be charged to a debit or credit card via PayPal.
