YUKI, a 5-year-old female was returned to WAMAL in May 2022, after being adopted in 2018, due to life changes. When she originally came into rescue, Yuki was suffering from a severe skin infection and was almost bald. With successful and loving treatments of frequent bathing and medications by her foster and then adopter, her coat grew back. Yuki has continued to experience skin issues and is on a special food right now. YUKI is excited to learn and is fascinated with home life and all the things you can find in new rooms. Yuki is very creative and likes to explore and see what she can find. She has played with new dogs large and small and seems to love them all and adjusts her play as needed. She does get excited and likes to jump, woo, and paw at her human friends so she's learning to manage her impulses as well. She loves to get out and exercise and is known to be a good leash walker even when other dogs get to run free nearby. Yuki is a very friendly dog and flexible with schedules and good at “going with the flow”. She likes kids and once acquainted is very well behaved around them. Her foster says, “Yuki really is the friendliest dog you will meet. She’s pretty mellow and easy going making her just a great dog to have around. She has been called ‘the dog that makes you really want to have a dog’. She is inquisitive, but also does an outstanding job of respecting boundaries.” Yuki’s temperament is friendly, affectionate, and generally delightful. She is not at all aloof and really enjoys being around her humans, as well as multiple dog playmates. WAMAL is continuing with the process already started to further identify and address her allergic reactions and help her continue to feel better. This amazingly friendly and affectionate pup deserves the best!!
