MIDAS, a 4 ½ year old male, came to us over the Christmas holidays in 2021. He was found abandoned at his prior home and brought to a Humane Society shelter. He was very stressed in the shelter environment, so the Humane society reached out to us. He is an adorable redhead that loves snow adventures! He combines the best of both the Malamute and Husky breeds, loves people, exercise and is a very smart boy! Midas is super friendly with the other rescues at Malley Valley and he and his BFF, Spike, often have playdates and even sleepovers in the same kennel. Midas has been a participant as part of our Hike with a Mal program and does great in the car and on the hikes. He would make an excellent hiking and traveling companion. He is smart and loving and EXCELLENT on a leash. He obeys pull commands like HA, GEE, Let's Go, Easy, and Wait. Midas loves his people, maybe a little too much, and can become very vocal when he is left alone or possessive of ‘his’ people around other dogs in a home environment. Midas is the definition of a ‘velcro’ dog--he loves his humans and just wants to be around them. This pup needs to find a home where he can become an integral part of an active and affectionate family.
