Learn more about the Alaskan Malamute.
Dakota is still gaining weight after being on the street. He lost his home through no fault of his own. He was a pampered pet living in a luxury home, riding around in Jaguars, then his owner suddenly lost everything. Her husband died, and she fell into drug use and lost her home and he ended up on the street with her. He was cared for by the owners elderly mother while the owner was in rehab, but the owner is not doing well, is in and out of rehab, and her mother just can not care for him any longer. He ended up in a boarding home that no longer really has room for him. He is a very sweet, calmly playful boy who loves to interact with other dogs of all sizes. At the boarding home he happily ranged throughout the house with about 10 small and toy breed dogs. He would likely do as well with cats and appears to be good around children. He loves being near people and is often content to lie happily around. He is very content in a crate, does not challenge fences and just wants a comfortable home and people to love. Dakota is being fostered in Monroe, WA. |
