Both Pluto and Charon are very sweet little girls. Charon has always been outgoing and Pluto has really come out of her shell and is a definite little lover - rivaling her sister at this point. Both are very drawn to humans, their siblings, and sticks. Both have learned that mouthing human hands is not a good idea, but they still love to give kisses. Pluto and Charon will crawl up to the foster family's 14 month old baby on their bellies and give her gentle kisses. They really love to be where the action is, but are quite happy in a gated off area indoors as long as there are people nearby who interact with them often. They are fairly quiet - talking sometimes, but they aren't barkers. There's nothing they love more than to sit or stand quietly while someone pets them. Pluto is a gorgeous glossy sleek black with a lovely thick coat, a tiny spot of white on her chest and white toes on her back feet. Charon has a beautiful shiny thick black coat with shorter, downier fur than Pluto, more white on her chest and mottled white and black toes on all four feet. Their mom is a malamute and we don't know who dad was, though we're guessing he was at least part black lab. Both are being well socialized with other puppies and dogs. Approved adopters will be required to sign up for a puppy obedience training class which stresses positive reinforcement as a training method. Depending on adoptions location, WAMAL may be able to provide references for excellent instructors qualified and experienced with Arctic Dogs and their unique needs for early socialization and positive reinforcement. The Pups are all currently being fostered in Monroe, WA. Pluto's sister, Charon (adopted) can also be seen on our website.
