Yukon along with his littermate Kodiak ended up at the shelter in January through a confiscation rescue by police. At that time Yukon was described as timid and shy but more outgoing than his sibling. He took treats and allowed handling for an exam. Yukon plays very well with Kodiak and has also played well with another dog his size. He is cautious of humans but will come up for treats and leash walks. Yukon is unknown with small dogs and cats. Yukon is not yet housetrained and will need help learning his basic commands. At this time Yukon is nervous when riding in the car but not hyper and he will require very secure fencing in his new home.

Yukon will need a home that can provide him with the patience and kindness he needs to help him continue to come out of his shell.

Yukon is being lovingly cared for in Washington while he awaits his new forever home.
