Jessica- My sister-in-law took a few pictures of Misty at their Christmas party and forwarded the photos to me. Thought you might like to see them too.
One is of Misty mid-yawn. She looks like she's singing Christmas carols :) The other is of Misty and Jay's Dad's dog Tully playing. We like to call their play "chewing on each other", as that is the main focus of the activity. Chewing and running around like fools.
Haven't met a dog yet that Misty doesn't like! Are you sure she is 4? She plays like a puppy.

It's been almost a year since Misty joined the Wallace Clan...and life couldn't be better.
Misty has really relaxed and almost all of her formerly abused behavior is gone. She now let us pet and brush her rump without cowering and all her food-issues seem to be gone as well. She even lays down in front of her bowl and leisurely eats her food one bite at a time. No more food-suction. Amazing!
When Misty first arrived, she was a bit lonely and sad. We thought she might be missing her foster-play friends. So...we decided to get her a companion. A friend introduced us to a great Malamute that was rescued -on his last day before being put down- from a shelter in Idaho. The dogs took to each other immediately. If they aren't eating or sleeping they are playing. Their energy is endless.
Kiko and Misty are completely inseparable. They are actually known at the vets office for voluntarily squishing themselves -two large malamutes- into one small kennel when they get baths, so they don't have to be apart.
They are the best tempered, happy, fun dogs I can imagine.
Thanks WAMAL for saving them so they could share our lives.
