I'm not in the office today so probably won't get your e-mail until tomorrow. I decided to stay home and make sure Tequila is comfortable here and comfortable with our other babies. We had a great first night. Brad and I introduced Tequila to each dog one at a time. It wasn't long before they were all running in circles in delight that they have a new playmate. Tequila doesn't care so much for the food the dogs eat here so Brad is picking up some gizzards and beef heart to make it a little more appealing. She also wasn't so sure about the miniature horses that live next door. She spooked with they're every movement. It was actually pretty cute. Last night we put the dogs to bed around 9:30pm but Tequila and our Gunny had other plans they were wrestling around in the bedroom. Tequila doesn't realize that the big day bed in the room is hers to sleep on. So she slept in an x-large crate with a blanket last night and did great. I think looking around at the other dogs who are so! used to "bedtime" they all lay down and pass right out. So after a few minutes Tequila did the same.
I have Teri's e-mail address and will be keeping in touch with her, sending updates on Tequila. After seeing the dogs together last night and this morning, we're not anticipating any problems.
Thanks so much for your help and I will look for your e-mail tomorrow at work.

Things are going really good. I've been talking with Teri via e-mail everyday getting some invaluable information about Tequila. Tequila loves to cuddle while we walk which makes walking much more difficult, and she plays hide-n-seek and wrestles with our husky who is also young.

Tequila is doing better every day as is our other turkeys. She hardly ever barks (which is nice considering our Husky won't shut up and he's loud) and when Tequila does bark at the neighbors it's a low bark, so they probably don't even hear her. She has some definite issues to overcome. As Teri probably told you Tequila throws a fit when you place a leash on her, we have a fenced acre the dogs roam so that is nice for her. She also scrounges for food like it’s going to be her last meal. But she has already made strides with that one. I have never seen a dog sit on her butt and sit pretty as fast as Tequila does, now that she's learned that’s when I'll give her treats. She's also learning patience to let the other dogs get their treats without grabbing them from me. She still doesn't like the doggie’s bedroom though. I think it's to enclosed and that scares her for some reason. Like she's been left in a room for too long or something. So we let her sleep outside and are hoping with time and increase frequency of her coming in and hanging out that that fear will go away. She sure is beautiful. I can't imagine someone leaving her behind.
