Kuma
Kuma

Kuma or Princess Kuma as she is known here as has adjusted very well to her new home. Her first task every morning is to greet whomever might still be sleeping in the family with a kiss. She does not believe that any of the dog rules apply to her. The bed, couch and chairs are at her disposal even if someone is using them at the time. She is a very loving animal but has a jealous side to her. If one of the other kids in the family comes for some attention she is there to let them no she is the only one that it suppose to get any of the attention. They all no that she is just all talk and no action. Tiquana and Kuma play some but act more like brother and sister. Tiquana loves to grab Kumas tail or back foot as she passes him to get a rise out of her and it works to his satisfaction every time. Kuma has a forever home. Thanks Cindy to you and all of the folks for allowing me to adopt a wonderful animal.

Jordan
Jordan

The boys, Taku and Jordan are running me ragged.  Both doing fine and getting along quite well.  We still have the occasional testosterone thing, but they sleep feet apart and are even fine over food.  I don't put them in the same kennel during the day, as one day their rough housing needed to be stopped.  Taku is less of a pest as he's had his face and more rubbed in the dirt a few times.  Jordan never initiates it, but eventually stops the pestering.
I suspect over Christmas I'll be able to see how they are for longer periods.
Jordan's got Taku howling up a storm which I like.  Sounds cool!
Jordan likes the Discovery channel.  Caribou, bear and wolf shows are his favorite.
Now I need a huge screen, so I can watch too.

Kokanee
Kokanee

Just wanted to give you an update on Kokanee.  She seems to have really bonded with Toby.  We had to take him to the vet today and she howled the entire time he was gone.  I took her treats, brought her in the house, sat and pet her for about 1/2 hour (he was only gone an hour, thankfully) but she was clearly looking for him the entire time. They were so happy to see each other when he got back and have been playing non-stop since he returned. The backyard is a little worse for wear with all the play that goes on.   We just keep reminding ourselves that we picked it because it wasn't fussy and we don't really care.
We have noticed she is tentative around all children.  She's not aggressive toward them just timid.  I think the boys will push thru that with her because they are really enjoying having a more affectionate dog.  I'm just surprised because they said she used to break out and head to the elementary.
We are thrilled with how Toby and Kokanee are getting along and with how they seem to enjoy being together. Kokanee is a great addition to our family.  I'm not sure what happens at the 2 week mark on your end but from our perspective, Kokanee is a keeper.

Tundra
Tundra

HI Matt Yes she is doing great she is over 80 lbs now she is a little hard of hearing when told NO or SIT and COME, but so is Sky our male mal. But it's funny how good their hearing is when you have food!! I don't have any photos scanned yet and I want to get a good photo of her in her winter coat. She is still a little skinny but at least she is not a bag of bones and fur, like she was when we got her.
She is good with the cats in the house but outside they are fair game in her mind...... found this out this morning she tried to grab Kinky cat after he got out and tried to get back in the house I had Tundra by the scruff about 4 sec after she grabbed him... Cats OK dogs OK but a little more wary of grabbing the cat I hope, it's funny Kink and her sleep together in the house. Our other cat Obby has nailed her a few times so she tries to keep clear of her.
We know she was abused but we found out how much over the summer.... She fears water hoses and water she will not step in a wadding pool or a pond outside she is fearful of feet as in being kicked also fast hand movements she ducks most of the time. Over all she is doing great she is acting like she has been with us for years. It took time for her to learn to play with Sky now it's flip the coin as to who will start the chase or tag and run. One of her high point of the day is Pack time just before bedtime It's myself and my sweetie in bed with Sky, Tundra and Kink on the bed with us it's time for pets and belly rubs and snuggling with the kids Sky will last 5 to 10 mins then he's ready to get off Tundra you can pet her till she is raw and she would be happy Kink will let both dogs wash his face now and then, he rubs on both of them when they are laying down where he can rub their heads

Tug
Tug

First I would like to thank Wamal for offering us the opportunity to provide Tug with a home. He has been an excellent addition to our family. He is very lovable and easy going. Our daughter Rebecca loves Tug, she follows him everywhere he goes. Finally someone to wear her out for us. He loves to drag me around the neighborhood on our walks. He has a basic understanding of commands, but still cannot resist trying to go after a squirrel. He is also an excellent watchdog. Tug gets along with his two Akita cousins, a feisty young female and an 8-year male. He loves all kids and his family. We could not be more please with Tug if he had been made to order.
Have a Great Day! :O)
