Katanni
Katanni

We have had Katanni for a year now.  She is the perfect match for our family.  Over the last year she has really settled in and comfortably changed and relaxed.  She plays with toys that she had not shown an interest in when she first got here.  She LOVES to jump on the trampoline with the kids and even alone when she's feeling frisky. Tanni gets cookies from the neighbor every morning and she'll wait by the fence until he appears.  Our first Mal, Blaze, is Tanni's best friend and they play with toys together or chase each other for hours everyday.  I think Tanni is just as happy with all of us as we are with her.  What a gift she is!!  Thank you for the great service you provide to match wanting homes with Mals that need one.

Update on Kia:  She doing real good.  She is also eating well.  We can tell she had some obedience class in the past so we're just polishing those skills.   Yesterday, we took her for a 3 mile trail walk.  This weekend if all goes well we will take her camping.  My wife is her companion most of the day.  After school/work, the kids and I got her.  We love Kia so much and we can tell she love us too.  Kia had lost a few pounds due to lots of walking, running, and playing.  But she is still beautiful and always carries a smiling face.  We brush her everyday to keep her hair healthy. Most of our neighbors greets her every time they see her.  She kinda a popular dog in the neighborhood.
By the way, I got the microchip paperwork.  OK got to go.  Thanks for giving us Kia.

Things are going great with all of us.  Yesterday we brought Kia to the Vet for a physical.  Kia was very well-behaved and got along great with her vet.  At first, we were worried about her not eating, but now she gobbles things down.  I guess you were right, she was just adjusting to her new environment.  We also got Kia licensed.
She has been getting plenty of exercise.  We walk her at least twice a day for an hour at a time and she enjoys playing with us in our yard.  In fact, yesterday we went to Ilahee state park and hiked the whole route.  She had fun sniffing and adventuring with us.
Kia has fit right into our family!  She gets so much attention from us and our neighbors.  She constantly gets petted and brushed.  Her coat is looking really good.
Well, that's what’s been happening.  Thanks for everything!

Kodi is doing very well. He has become a beautiful, sweet happy puppy. He now lets other women occasionally pet him and doesn't run from either men or women. Men, however, he keeps a safe distance from. He is curious so I know that he will get past that barrier also. I am so lucky to have him. By the way, he weighs 70 lbs. now. When I took him to the vet for shots the other day, I looked at his chart. When I took him in to be fixed he weighed 50 lbs. He is still small for a mal. but he is sturdy and has big feet. I know because occasionally he paws at me when he wants something. I thank my lucky stars and WAMAL every day for my "miracle" puppy. I plan on going to the BBQ in Cle-Elum with my three boys. I don't know if you are going to be there. It would be great to meet you finally.

Hope this is finding you all well. It has been a year since we adopted Ataani [formerly Kayla] so I thought that you might like an update. She is doing incredibly well and is absolutely crazy about our male Mal, Louie. She's still not a big people fan given her history, but she has warmed up wonderfully well to Tom and I [and our cats] and is beginning to expand her horizons with other familiar humans. You will see that she is no longer skinny puppy but is now a healthy, full grown adult. She has been a wonderful addition to our family. We're hoping with more years of love and a lot of hiking, she will shed her anxiety and find the world to be a safe place. Another happy ending thanks to all of you. I'm sending you a few pics for your records.
Thanks for continuing to provide a wonderful and much needed service to a wonderful and much deserving dog.
