CHIEF

If you are looking for a dog to fill your heart and home, Chief may be just the guy for you!  At 130 pounds of fluff and stuff he is a great dog that loves spending time with his people.  Chief is looking for a home where he can be your only furry family member (the better to get more attention!) and does have that typical malamute prey drive.  He adores people and will do best with older kids and adults as he can easily knock over little ones due to his size.  Chief is the perfect energy level and will be happy to be your copilot on the way to walks, hikes, and camping as he works to lose a few pounds.  Chief is a smart boy and is housetrained, knows a number of commands including 'sit', 'down', 'shake', and 'bed', and also does well on leash.  When meeting our evaluator, Chief approached with a wagging tail, ready to say 'hi' and even showed off his tricks!  He can't wait to do the same with his new family and will even offer a paw to shake!
