SINBAD is seeking an active home where he can join you on all of your outdoor adventures and then hang out inside to relax and watch a movie with you!  His favorites are Eight Below, Snow Dogs, and of course, Snow Buddies.  Like his favorite movie stars, Sinbad is a typical northern breed that needs a secure yard and lots of exercise or he will get himself into trouble!  Case in point, Sinbad is what we would call a 'frequent flyer' in local animal shelters due to escaping his yard.  While we don't know what containment his previous home had, we do know it is important that he has a secure space since it is clear he enjoys exploring.  This will be great in his new home where he can explore in a more controlled (leashed) environment.  Sinbad has a joy for life and loves people and getting attention.  He knows the command of 'sit' and is attentive and eager to please, so we expect training will be fun for everyone.  He pulled on his leash when walking with our evaluator but was able to quickly pick up on cues to put slack back into the leash.  He is smart and quick and will work for treats and attention!  Sinbad has done well with other dogs he has been introduced to and may enjoy a canine companion in his new home.  There is nothing bad about Sinbad as long as you understand he is a malamute and needs a secure yard, exercise, and a lot of love!
