SLASH has had quite a journey to WAMAL---after having escaped from a dog sitter in Texas until he was eventually located by his owners after 13 months when they saw him posted online as a stray.  His owners were able to get him to safety and to Washington; however, a significant number of changes in their life and environment were not conducive to Slash being able to live his best life. This redheaded gentleman is looking for a home where he can go on outdoor adventures and be with people. Slash does well with other large female dogs, so would be great for a home with another dog that enjoys playing and hanging out. Despite being lost for a period of time, it has not seemed to affect Slash much--he LOVES people, and even does well with the groomer and vets!  From his adventures he does need to gain a little weight; however, that will just make training with treats more fun! He already knows the commands of "sit," "down," and "paw" and would look forward to learning more in his new home. Slash is a great mal with an easygoing personality making him a great candidate for a new home.  He will reward you with kisses and lots of attention!
