LEO is a younger malamute filled with energy and joy for life, ready to roll right over for tummy rubs!  In fact, our WAMAL volunteer described him as 'all over the place, so happy, goofy, playful.'  He can start off a little shy, but opens up and is very friendly with people and does well with dogs of his energy level and general size.  In fact, he would love to have another dog pal!  He enjoys playing with other dogs and getting out his boundless energy.  Leo knows some basic commands including 'come', 'sit', 'leave it', and 'stay' (when he is not too excited!) and will enjoy learning more in his new home.  He needs to work on his leash skills.  He is house trained and happily sleeps in his crate at night.  His foster home reports he 'seems to want to pretty much always be with us and the dogs as a group.'  As expected with his breed, Leo does not do well with small critters so needs to kept away from cats and chickens.  To be fair about the chickens - they do taste delicious!  Leo would do best in an active home with adults and possibly older children where he can bond with his new pack over some outdoor adventures and indoor snuggle time!
