ATLAS wants to look his very best for you, but like many of us, he got a not so great quarantine haircut!  Atlas came into the shelter with this 'do but he hasn't let it stop him from becoming a shelter favorite and now he is with WAMAL to find his perfect malamute home!  Exuberant is probably the best word to describe Atlas. He enjoys meeting new people and getting love and pets.  As a young adult, he will look forward to working with his new family on learning commands and tricks, which is a great way for him to bond. He does jump up in his excitement, but seems to know the command of 'off' and walks well on leash. He may know some other commands, but exhibited that malamute selective hearing with our evaluator. Atlas loves to run so would make a great partner for your outdoor adventures! As a bonus, he does great in the car and was a great traveler with our transporter. As Atlas' fur continues to grow back, his coat will need some extra help, but that will be well worth the effort - especially with the reward of welcoming this amazing young mal into your home!
