Learn more about the Alaskan Malamute.
Milo the Malamute is a huge ball of energy and love! He is playful and bouncy and is very excited to greet new people. He is still learning his size and weighs around 130 pounds, so that excitement can be a challenge. Despite the large size, he has done well with other dogs large and small and grew up with a Dachshund. In his first home he was socialized and trained very well and already knows quite a few commands including "sit," "shake," and "lay down" and even "out of the kitchen." He is great in the car and is also crate trained, though it is not his favorite spot. He walks well on leash and is ready for hiking adventures. He is anxious when left alone, though is not destructive; however will do best with another dog and a family that can spend a lot of time with him. He can easily make it over a 5' fence and has been known to counter surf-- but hey--that food is delicious after all! Speaking of food, he really likes carrots and peanut butter as treats. The thing Milo likes best though is to be with his people! Is that you?
