Zuma (short for MonteZUMA) is a very loving, big healthy guy who is strong (even though underweight) but sweet, and easy to handle. He jumped right up into his foster moms 1-ton pickup, ate hot dog pieces gently when fed by hand, goes easily where directed and is friendly to the gang-of-three-dogs who live at his foster home. He rarely talks and then generally only to express his displeasure at being the only dog in a kennel but he's a master at body language! You know exactly when he wants to go for a ride in the truck, come in the house, get petted, have a bite to eat and not get anymore baths, please! Zuma loves to give kisses and receive rubs and "leans" just as soon as he gets next to a person, tucking his big head right under your hand. Zuma also knows a few basic commands; he's very comfortable, loves being loved, is VERY playful when cooled off by a bath! but is respectful of people and the other dogs. He has a great coat, shedding well, not tool long or short - just right! It is clear that Zuma was a family dog; he knows how to behave in a home. Zuma has freckles. Zuma is presently being fostered in Cle Elum, WA |
