Mieka loves being around people and the object of your attention. She likes to be in the house, go for walks or jogging, enjoys riding in a car, sleeping on her back, and playing with squeaky toys. Mieka has been through several sessions of doggy obedience school and even remembers some of the commands! Mieka has run in the owners sled team but prefers skijoring. Mieka would do best in a house where she is the only dog or in one where the other dog does not mind if she is the boss. Some dogs she gets along with just fine and others she does not. Like many malamutes, Mieka does not like to be cornered by toddlers, so a home with older children would be best. Mieka does not want to be a dog that just lives in a dog house in the back yard and occasionally interacts with her humans. Mieka wants a home where she will be a family member and lead an active life style.
