Learn more about the Alaskan Malamute.
We recently pulled Bandit from a local shelter where he was turned in by his owners. It seems Bandit found chasing cats to be highly stimulating. He was OK with cats in the house but chased them when outside but this could have been very dependent on the temperament of the cat. He therefore needs a home without cats in which his energy is expended by jogs and hikes. His paperwork from the shelter says that he is housebroken, good with children and other dogs. He was well behaved in the car on the ride to the kennel and seems to be a really sweet boy. He needs a secure yard since, as is typical of many smart but bored malamutes, he loves to figure out ways to escape. He would probably be less escape motivated if he was not left alone for long periods of time or he had another doggie companion. If you have room in your pack for this friendly, playful, and talkative malamute, please contact us. Bandit is currently being fostered in Seattle, WA. |
