Shyla has energy to BURN and needs a home ready to meet her needs. Here is what her foster mom says of her:
She is so lovable and happy. Loves to play with the other dogs, never out of energy for long and always hungry. She has been real good here. Does not bark at night, has learned how to sit and take treats nicely. She is always ready for love and attention. She needs some place to run and play and it would be nice if she had a play mate.

Shyla was also housetrained by her former owner and has come to us well loved and well adjusted. She can be an escape artist, the main reason her former owner could not keep her, so she will need a very sturdy fence and a companion to keep her occupied so she would not get into trouble like any self respecting malamute puppy will be inclined to do. Shyla would not be a good fit in a home that has cats as she has demonstrated a high prey drive toward them. Shyla will be a big girl (HAS to be when she grows into those ears!)

From Shyla's foster mom:
Shyla is adjusting very well to her new digs! She really is quite smart, is learning down (to lay down) and shake (one of Scouts favorites). She is good in the house, it does take her a few minutes to settle down when she first comes in, but I think that is pretty normal for a puppy her age. Also, Shyla is doing GREAT with the kitties. She is curious more than anything, and seems to want to play with them, she is in play mode, not hunt mode around them, and we keep reminding her no kitty. And, the cats do stand up to her, last night both Blanca and Mocha had Shyla cornered in the kitchen - it was amusing to see her trying to hide from the 2 kitties! :)

She is currently being fostered in Kennewick, WA.
