Nakita is a big beautiful girl who was found as a stray. Although she had tags and her owners were contacted many times, they never came to take her home. She looks to be a fairly young adult and appears to be in good health. She has a softer coat than most Mals so will probably need a little extra brushing from her new owners. Nakita was described by the shelter as a very sweet and quiet girl. When she was picked up by a WAMAL volunteer she immediately jumped in the back of the Explorer and after a quick sniff around the back laid right down. Within 15 minutes she was fast asleep in a ball of blankets she had made herself. We will have a better idea of her personality in the next week or so, but so far she seems to be a laid back, mellow, happy, friendly girl. Nakita appears to be potty trained and used to being in a house. Nakita has shown to be a mellow, extremely sweet girl and is reported to be great with her foster moms two children. Here is an update from Nakita's foster family: Nakita is presently being fostered in Maple Valley, WA. |
