8/30/06 - Update: Chief has been pulled from the shelter, and we have a VERY temporary place for him to stay in Kent, WA, as we could just not see him end up being euthanized, but we need to find him someplace to go, and soon. 8/23/06 - Update: We have some additional pictures of Chief in his album. He has one, _maybe_ two days left, before he will be euthanized. He is now the senior most dog at the shelter at this point, so as soon as they need room, he will be the first put down. His time is now VERY limited. If you can help Chief, please contact us ASAP!

Chief is mostly malamute and a REALLY beautiful dog. We simply do not have a place for him at this moment. He is in the Ellensburg Animal Shelter and his time may be short there. They are a wonderful but small shelter and if they fill up, someone has to go.

Chiefs markings are stunning, his fur is shiny and thicker than it looks in the pictures and he has a big blocky head - a bit too big for his slightly underweight body. He may have a touch of sharpei or mastiff. His coat is a short summer coat and this winter he will no doubt turn into a fabulous snowdog.

He walks well on leash, he is a good size if you like big dogs and could be a great companion. If you can provide a forever home - or even a temporary home for Chief, please contact us.
