Learn more about the Alaskan Malamute.
Mack is a loving senior boy who is looking for a retirement home to finish out his days. Mack loves to be outside and prefers his bed in the dirt. He loves to go for walks, walks great on leash around the cul-de-sac . He will put his head gently on your arm or lap and enjoys being petted. When his foster mom comes home from work he greets her with his beautiful deep WOO. They howl to each other until he is petted. When the other dogs are at play, he will run up and do his WOO at them to try and get their attention or play referee. When Mack was at the vet to be neutered they found cancer. The Doc believes he got it all. Mack would take his medicine and other treats very gently. It is amazing how much he has brightened up after his recovery. Mack prefers to be outside, but he will come in the basement for a little while to get his loves and treats. Mack's hair color is off white and so soft. He does enjoy his baths, the easiest dog his foster mom has ever had to give a bath. We are not sure how Mack would be with small children, he is so BIG. He has been around his foster moms grandson and seems to ignore him. There are no cats in his foster moms area, but he does ignore the squirrels in the trees next to the kennel/play area. Mack is currently being fostered in Olympia, WA. |
