Joshua is an loving, easygoing boy. He loves to go for walks, walks great on leash and loves to be petted. More than that, Joshua LOVES to play. He will fetch his squeaky toy over and over. You can grab it out of his mouth - IF you can catch him! He responds to play body language by perking up and galumphing around the yard. He stops, looks around to see if you are chasing him then hops once and runs again! Like many mals, he galumphs more than runs, a very funny boy.

He is such a classic malamute - stubborn when he does not want to go somewhere but can be bribed. Lets you know if he is feeling left out with a beautiful deep woowoo. Talks a lot with an unusual speaking voice. He is quite wary of his foster moms dog pack but is doing well with slow intros to the girls.

At the vet, he ignored the cat on the chair and the pug puppies in the crate and only sniffed slightly at the big lab in the room. Joshua was at the vet because of a skin condition that has obviously been left untreated for some time. Turns out it is a fungus infection and we are treating it. But we are a bit concerned about him being out here in the snow all winter so if you have a nice warm home for him...

We have also put him on a thyroid pill twice a day. These are really cheap and it is actually fun to give them to him in a treat, he takes treat SO gently it is amazing!

We do not want to see him in a home with small children. He has got no training there, and he is really too much of a galumpher. But he may be a candidate for a home with cats, and with some play and attention and inside time he will give you so much joy in return. And he also gives kisses when you ask him to.

At his foster moms Joshua has gained the titles of Best House Dog Ever and Best Dog Bed Thief.

Joshua is currently being kenneled in Maple Valley, WA.
