Learn more about the Alaskan Malamute.
Bristol is a special needs dog. He has been obviously mistreated most of his life. He is scared of humans, loud noises, and some dogs. However, when he gets to know you his real personality comes out. He is a definite couch potato. He would rather be inside on his pillow bed than outside. He loves to ride in the car. He loves the off-leash dog park and is getting better about being near people. He has become part of my pack and defers to other dogs. However, he would prefer being an only dog in a quiet household. He is very prey driven with cats, and extremely fast for a couch-potato. Bristol loves to come put his head on my lap and just be held and loved. He loves being brushed. Every time I come in the room he lays on his back to get tummy scratches. Occasionally he throws his head back and says WA WA. He is not a picky eater. In fact, he could use a little less food. He needs to be walked but does not require the amount of activity that most malamutes seem to. Bristol is just a sweet boy who has been told that everything he did was wrong and responds well to someone telling him that he is a good boy. Bristol is really blooming in foster care, here is the latest update from his foster mom: Bristol is being cared for in Vancouver, WA. |
