YEP, you are reading it right, Saber weighs 186 lbs! He was dropped off at a shelter by his owners for being too big. We do have some information on his previous life that was provided to the shelter and here is what it says. Saber has been an outside only dog up to this point. He went jogging six times a week and to the dog park once a week. He comes when called if off leash and knows sit and shake. He loves to chase cars, cats, bikes and anything else he can, so on leash walks are a must for him, although it does say he has never caught any of the above lol! He has never been around kids, but gets along well with other dogs. He is afraid of loud noises including fireworks and vacuum cleaners and does not like water. He loves to raid garbage cans and chew up toys and tennis balls when given the opportunity. Saber plays really well and gently with all people and multiple dogs, and is quickly becoming a volunteer favorite since coming into rescue.
