Update! - Kali is thriving in her new life with rescue and we now know she loves people! She does not care for other dogs or small animals so would do best in a home where she can be an only girl hogging all your love. She loves walks, rolling in the grass and belly rubs. You would never know this gal spent her first six years on a chain with little human interaction.

Kali is a rescue from a puppy mill operation in a neighboring state. Due to the number of dogs rescued, Kali really needed our help to find a home where she can retire from having litter after litter of pups while being kept on a chain. When Kali was first removed from the only way of life she had known, she was very nervous around the barking dogs in the shelter, and would not even wag her tail. She has already started to come around, and now she is coming to WA to find her forever home, we expect her to become a most grateful and loving long time companion to her new family once she realizes that life with humans can be safe and fun. Kali's photos are horrible and we will be taking new photos soon. Her coat is very short, and we think that is most likely due to having over 10 litters of pups in her 6 years according to the person who surrendered her. Now she has been spayed and is up to date on vaccinations, we will give her some great nutrition and she will blossom into the beauty we know she is. Due to her past life, Kali would most likely do best in a calm, laid back home who can lavish her with attention and love. She is not housebroken yet and we will be finding out how she is with other dogs, kids and cats very soon.
