Aslan is a senior gentleman with a youthful smile who was picked up as a stray after quite awhile on the road. He needs to put on some weight and would benefit from an inexpensive glucosamine supplement to help his hips with the arthritis common in older mals. Look into his soft brown eyes and he wants to tell you all the stories of his youth, what a magnificent guy he was, all the places he has been and things he has done. Aslan has a beautiful tri-colored coat of black, gold and white that is a little rough around the edges, but in his day he was a looker and could get any gal he wanted!

Aslan has a lot of curiosity and spirit so would be an excellent walking partner for those leisurely strolls to check out the sights and smells in the neighborhood parks with none of the stubborn tug and pull routine. He would do best in a home with no stairs and might want to be an only dog. Aslan is a bit protective of food and a little quick taking a treat at times cuz on the street it can be a harsh place, but he is learning to be gentler. Aslan would be OK with older children who know how to treat a dog with kindness, patience and understanding. He will give you the calm, quiet loving companionship that only comes with maturity. Alsan does not need a big yard to get out of, he has been there and done that, and its not pretty out there on the streets. Here is an update from his Foster Home:
Aslan is now living with several other dogs and a cat! He is a quick learner, and has figured out he will get his share of attention and food by minding his manners. His coat has improved and is soft and shiny. He has added weight and good nutrition has improved his stamina. Aslan will make a wonderful dog buddy for someone who wants a dog to shower with love and attention.
