Sonny is a huge love!! For a mostly blind, senior Malamute he sure gets around well in his foster home now he knows the routine. Sonny wants to follow you everywhere and just loves to be petted and talked to. He gets along well with the two younger dogs and the cat in his foster home. He is just a very sweet boy. When not sunning himself on the deck or laying on the cool floor in the kitchen, he is glued to your side. He likes to lay his head in your lap and soak up the affection. He also loves to be brushed and has been getting daily brushing to clean out his undercoat. Sonny will need to be on thyroid medication and joint supplements for the rest of his life but both are fairly inexpensive.

Here is a quote from Sonnys foster mom. Sonny truly amazes me on how good he can get around. He uses my planter with flowers in it to gage where the edge of the deck is. He will sniff around for the flowers and once he finds them he knows the edge of the deck is near. When he is in the house he seems to be able to figure out which room he is in pretty easily.......his favorite room is the kitchen, of course. If he were younger, I am pretty sure he would be a counter surfer as his nose is on the counter alot!!
