Update from his foster mom - Bucky is an absolute sweetheart. His shyness is fading away fast. He gets along with the other house dogs (male and female), and he comes when called. He is a quick learner, loves road trips, walks, and hanging with friends. He is doing great at leash walking now, hasn't gone on a hike yet, but would be a good candidate for hiking. He is a stunning boy. Bucky needs a home with no small dogs or other critters. Bucky McBuckster is a very shy boy who is somewhere between a Malamute and a Siberian Husky, with the best traits of each. He is just the cutest boy you will ever meet! Bucky hasn't had a lot of human interaction in his short life so he is quite reserved right now. We just know from history with similar dogs that he will be a very loving dog who is keeping you on your toes as soon as he feels comfortable in a new home. Bucky would love a family who will take the time to let him settle in for the long haul and learn to trust humans. Once that part is over, prepare to don your hiking boots and a backpack and head for the trails! Bucky would be best in a home with no cats, and probably older kids, or kids who will give him a chance to get comfortable before too much play. Bucky will need a securely fenced yard and maybe a play buddy his own size in his new home. We are working with Bucky to get him used to walking on a leash and gaining some confidence. Bucky is being cared for in Kent, WA. |
