Learn more about the Alaskan Malamute.
Max is a handsome boy that has some very distinct facial markings. He was dropped off at a shelter and seems to have been on his own for a while. Max is on the small side and weighs about 60 lbs but will fill out nicely once he puts on some weight. His coat is in bad shape right now but with some grooming and good nutrition he should be gleaming in no time! Max is rather shy and timid right now only because he is unsure of things. Once he gets to know you he warms up quickly and very much enjoys affection. At the shelter Max became friends with a small terrier type dog who kept escaping and going into his kennel to hang out. Max was not bothered by the company of this new little friend. He seems to know how to walk on leash and will walk just in front of you without a lot of pulling. He is easy going and when comfortable will roll over for belly rubs. Max will need a securely fenced yard as he likes to try to push the boundaries of going out of the yard! He is also somewhat of a digger when he tries to get out. It is unknown right now if Max is house-trained or not and we are unsure with him around cats. As we get to know more about Max we will update his information! Max is being cared for in Kent WA |
