Maverick is a very happy and loving young boy who was turned over by his owner when she was forced to move to an apartment where dogs were not allowed. He CRAVES human attention. He thinks he is a lap dog and tries to crawl up in your lap to give kisses. Maverick is still a bit of a mouthy puppy. Not a nipper but just wants to put his mouth on your hands arms etc. That can be easily worked on though. He is extremely treat motivated but needs to learn to take treats gently. He knows SIT and does a great job of that. He loves rolling around in the grass rubbing his face in it is a bit of a puller on the leash but not nearly as bad as some. He has lived with a 2 yr old toddler has never lived with cats and gets along with non-aggressive dogs. Maverick has always been an outside dog although the former owner says when let inside he does not mark so he is either partially housebroken or will easily be there with a bit of training. Maverick is just a doll and would be thrilled to be in a home where he gets to be around his humans a lot. He is blowing his coat right now as you can sort of see in the photos but he will have a great coat once he is brushed up. Maverick does have a food allergy to wheat and eats Natural Balance Duck Formula now. When he has a reaction to food he chews his paws and one ear goes down.

Maverick is being cared for in Kent WA
