Suka is a beautiful black and white AKC registered mal that is looking for a new home. He had a run in with the neighbors small dog and needed to be re-homed. He definitely will not do well around cats or other small critters! Suka has a big heart and big paws and is just a big guy! He is a sweet, fun-loving and seems to like most people he meets. When he first came into rescue he was upset and gave a growly greeting! Now, that has all resolved and Suka is showing his loving side again. He was raised with a female malamute, they were best friends and he misses her. A larger female would be a good companion as Suka is so big he may play a little rough for a smaller dog. He needs a secured yard as he tends to roam and that is what got him into trouble! He also has a lot of energy and will need exercise and a strong/knowledgeable pack leader to establish boundaries. He knows how to sit and is a really good boy when there are treats around. He has grown up with a teenager as well as younger kids and has done really well around them. Smaller children may get knocked over or stepped on accidentally by this big guy so that is a caution. Suka loves to run and hike and even play in the water. He has been mostly an outside dog, but he is very intelligent and would probably get the hang of the house in no time. He also loves to snuggle and get his belly rubbed!
