Indie is my name and playing is my game. I am looking for a new home where I can jump, play and be a part of your family. I am a BIG boy and sometimes I do not realize my size or my energy, so I will need a home with no small children. I like to play hard and sometimes I get caught up in the play and do not know how to stop! Some smaller dogs have a hard time playing with me due to my youthful energy so I would do best in a home with a female dog my size or as an only dog. I have not been around any felines but I do love to chase birds and squirrels. I am extremely smart, have had some obedience training and I know basic commands, but can get distracted easily. I do not like little kids getting too close to my food or treats and will give a warning sound if this happens. Otherwise, I like everyone I meet and especially love going for car rides and would rather go for a ride than stay home alone. I love all sorts of games like tug-of-war, chasing and fetching balls and sticks and playing with my squeaky toys. I like to go to the beach and play in the water and I try to bite the waves as they roll in. And of course I just LOVE the snow. I do not bark but have mastered the malamute howl or woo-woo, and I like to snuggle with my family in the evenings.
Indie would do best in a home with an experienced malamute owner as well as a family who has a lot of patience and is willing to continue his training.
