Learn more about the Alaskan Malamute.
Seeley is a big beautiful Malamute/Golden Retriever mix who ended up at the shelter due to his previous owners medical concerns. He is a smart young boy who knows his commands of sit stay and is also house-trained. Seeley enjoys going for leash walks and he rides very well in the car. He loves to play fetch tug-a-war and enjoys going for a swim. Seeley is very social and loves meeting new people although he needs some work teaching him not to jump up on people. Due to his size Seeley will do best in a home with children over the age of 10. He gets along well with other dogs his size and energy level but definitely no cats for this guy. UPDATE: Seeleys foster dad reports no jumping up and he is living peacefully with 2 cats. Seeley is curious about the cats and has gotten a smack on the snout! Seeley will then just walk away. He has shown some guarding issues over his food and toys and would benefit from a training program or someone who is accustomed to dealing with this. He is an affectionate and active young boy who is looking for a family who is willing to work with him. Seeley is being lovingly fostered in Olympia WA |
