Meet Teak formerly known as Tekumsah! He was originally turned into the shelter by his owner due to tough times and losing his home. Now Teak has had some misunderstandings with children and is looking for a new home.Children over 12 Yrs of age is what is needed for placement in his new forever home. Teak has been described as a friendly giant who loves all people he meets. His disposition is mellow and calm and he seems to be pretty nonchalant about most things. When it comes to meeting other dogs his size his initial greeting is followed by a play bow which means he is ready to play! But due to a high prey drive he would not do well with small dogs and cats. Teak is a gently boy who walks fairly well on leash with just a small amount of pulling and hes has some obedience training. He sure knows how to sit fast when his cookies appear! His ideal home will have a big yard with plenty of room to romp and play and possibly a doggy friend his size too! Volunteers are working with Teak and will have more information soon
