This exuberant guy is larger than life. Boris is an amazing dog that should be in an environment that allows him to be a dog and allows him to be a malamute a breed that he epitomizes. He is stoic and beautiful; mischievous high-maintenance and raring to go at all times. Where once he had a countryside playground all dogs dream of hundreds of acres to explore off leash and the climate to support this special breed he has now found that he spends a lot of his time tied up in the rain. He is not a happy city dog! He has been well socialized to people and dogs but when the mood strikes him will challenge other dominant-prone dogs. He has a curiosity about cats but has co-existed without any trouble so far. He follows his nose towards anything edible and because of this can be trained using treats as positive reinforcement. He needs a drier environment a companion dog that understands the aggressive nature of malamute play and room to run explore and ideally a job. His training has been spotty but he is house broken to a fault smarter than a fifth grader and has been known to make people smile in a way that only children understand. He truly is a special dog.
