Meet Tessa! She was found by a hunter out in the middle of nowhere and may have been on her own for quite awhile before being taken to the shelter. Tessa is now in a wonderful foster home where she is getting some much needed care and rehabilitation. She has been described as quiet and gentle yet social and friendly. Once she has warmed up to you Tessa will greet you playfully and shower you with kisses when you come home or get up in the morning. She is working on house training and enjoys being inside to explore her new surroundings. She is a smart girl and should learn her basic commands quickly.

UPDATE: It has been found that Tessa is deaf! She is responding very well to hand signals and is fitting in nicely with her doggy pack!

Tessa gets along well with the other dogs in her foster home so may do well with a doggy friend but she is not a good candidate for a home with cats.
