Meet Shasta a little spitfire of a Mal. She is wonderful with all people once she gets to know you. She has been around children from ages 5 up and has not had been rough or upset with them. Shasta is very smart and very intense. She loves to walk and would make an excellent hiking companion. In the city she is learning to stop at intersections and ignore barking dogs behind fences. She has a ton of energy outdoors and she does love to pull. Indoors she has wonderful house manners and respects her humans space. She loves her dog bed and does not care if the human gets the couch! She may love to have a big dog to play with and be a buddy to her. She is very intense and eager to chase anything small. A home without cats or small dogs would suit her just fine. She is well mannered and likes riding in cars. Shasta pulls on the leash but is learning to follow her human rather than lead. She knows sit come down leave it wait and stop and she is house-trained. She has not challenged the 6 fence at her foster home. Shasta will occasionally play with dog toys but is not a heavy chewer. She has a chew toy in which a treat can be inserted and she occasionally plays with. Shasta loves to roll over and get body massages! A home where her owner has flexible work hours or is retired is a must. She also needs a home with active people who can take her out Shasta is being cared for by our wonderful volunteers. |
