Learn more about the Alaskan Malamute.
Chico is a gorgeous young boy who was surrendered to the shelter when his owners could no longer care for him. He is a big boy at 112 lbs and has been described as a gentle giant. Chico has attended basic obedience class and knows his commands of sit stay and come. He may need a refresher course on house training but he is a smart guy and should pick that up quickly. Chico enjoys riding in the car and likes to hang his head out the window for some fresh air. He takes treats very gently and it seems his favorite may be chunks of cooked chicken! Chico loves going for long walks and is working on his leash manners. He gets along well with other dogs his size and is said to get along with cats however we are not able to guarantee that he will be able to live peacefully with cats. Chico has lived with young children but one must be cautious with him due to his size. Chico is being cared for by our wonderful Washington volunteers. |
