Learn more about the Alaskan Malamute.
Kenai is a big and beautiful outdoorsy gal whose neighbors were not impressed with her escape artistry and prey drive. She loves other big dogs as friends but cats and small dogs need not apply for friendship. She is a happy girl who is a little shy and cautious when she first meets you but warms up over time. Currently she connects with female humans better and seems a bit leery with new men at first. But once she is comfortable she is friendly and playful. She is known to be a talker and shakes her paw at you to get attention. Kenai knows basic commands. She has lived in a home with other big dogs and four acres to roam but most importantly needs a home with a great family who will support her and a secure escape-proof yard. She is a known as a skilled digger and climber so a family experienced with escape artists and mal containment is preferred. Kenai is fit and active and would make an awesome companion for exploring the snowy winter ahead and all the seasons that come after. The adoption fee of $300 includes spay-neuter and all vaccines. Kenai is being lovingly cared for in Washington while she awaits her new forever home. More about KenaiGood with Dogs, Not Good with Cats, Good with Kids
