Learn more about the Alaskan Malamute.
Yukon's start in life has been rough so he has come around the world to find a new place to call his furever home! He survived severe malnutrition and from that has soft bones and needs to find a home without large dogs whose play may be too rough for him. Since he is still so young (11 months) we are working with a local vet team to develop a nutrition program that may help him gain bone density and strength. Medium and small mellow dogs are good and he has even lived peacefully with cats! Despite his rough start he is super sweet and is a big leaner and very affectionate. He does quite well on leash and enjoys running around outside for short spurts. At this time any hiking would be too rough for this gentle boy but he loves to walk for 1-2 miles daily. He loves getting pets and is generous with his kisses and just wants to be by your side or at your feet! Yukon will come to you for attention then as you cuddle and scratch him he will literally melt onto the floor!! He is a young pup just starting to learn how amazing life can be and he is ready to have a family of his very own! The adoption fee of $400 includes spay-neuter and all vaccines. Yukon is being lovingly cared for in Washington while he awaits his new forever home.
