Are you looking for a new energetic friend to keep you company? Shadow would love nothing more than being your shadow! A good though energetic walker on leash he is responsive to commands-including sit and lay down-and was easily redirected when two small dogs were barking at him while walking by a fence. As is typical of the breed Shadow needs exercise to get out his excitement and energy. He enjoys people and walked right up to give our volunteer kisses and welcomed tummy scratches. He can jump up in excitement so will need to continue to work on this. He allowed handling but did pull a bit away when feeling one of his legs and appeared to have a bit of a hop when running. We will be monitoring this however initial vet reports state he does not appear to be caused discomfort at this time. He has done well with other dogs however has scuffled with other male malamutes so would likely do best with a submissive female. There were no issues with other dogs related to food toys beds or human attention. Shadow was previously an outdoor only dog that transitioned to an apartment dog. We believe his ideal home will have outdoor space with a secure yard with plenty of time indoors with his pack.

The adoption fee of $300 includes spay-neuter and all vaccines.
