Troy’s story is one of those heart breakers that we can’t wait to turn into a happy ending! Abandoned at a shelter Troy is hoping for a fresh start with a family who understands and respects a dog who would like to trust humans but needs the space and time to feel comfortable and confident in his surroundings. Troy was placed into an experienced foster home and is reportedly making great strides in learning to trust and be the playful pup that confidence brings.

Troy loves his leash walks and getting outdoors and especially running and playing with a same sized doggie pal and would thrive with an active adult family. Folks who have met him see a lot of potential and he is opening up and feeling comfortable enough to give kisses and accept belly rubs. Troy takes treats very gently from peoples hands and given his love of treats he will appreciate training exercises where he can earn them. Troy is crate trained also.

Troy is a handsome boy who will need a patient dog savvy home where he can continue to build his confidence and trust with humans. This young Mal will require a larger than normal dose of patience gentle guidance and understanding to earn his trust but you will be rewarded with a larger than normal dose of love and dedication from this gentle Mal!

The adoption fee of $300 includes spay-neuter and all vaccines.

Troy is being lovingly cared for in Washington while he awaits his new forever home.
